Meet Recap

The first OHSAA JR. High State meet was held at Lancaster High School. The WMS Lady Bulldogs 4×100 Relay team and 4×400 Relay team qualified for the state meet on Friday May 5th at the Woodridge Relays. The 4x100M relay team of Elise Carey, Leah Sherman, Leah Olsen, and Belle Norris qualified for the state meet with a time of 53.78. The bulldogs were able to drop nearly a full second from their qualifying running a time of 52.82 to finish 4th in their heat and 10th overall. With this time, the Lady bulldogs broke the school record (53.5 seconds) that was set in 1978! Congrats ladies!!!!!
The 4x400M relay team qualified with a time of 4:26.73. The Team of Bella Paratore, Anastasia Bakuhn, Elise Carey, and Izzie Best dropped nearly 4 seconds from the qualifying time to run a season best of 4:22.79 to finish 7th overall out of 16 teams and find a spot on the podium. Thank you to Chloe Rado and Rachel Freeman for putting in the time to continue training as alternates! The teams’ success today is because of your dedication and hard work!
