Meet Recap

The Woodridge Boy’s Track and Field team opened state competition Thursday at the Bedford division 2 district meet. Steven Neveadomi captured a district title in the pole vault. Steven’s 13 foot vault is a personal best and the 2nd best mark in school history. Josh Mally ended his outstanding freshman season with a 6th place finish in the vault. King Alfred Sanders and Aaron Richardson grabbed 2nd and 6th in the long jump. King’s jump of 21 feet, 6.25 inches is a new school record. Sanders and Neveadomi will both move on the next week’s regional meet. Jiah Bowers closed out the field event scoring with an 8th place showing in the discus. In the only final on the track, the 3200 meter relay team of Ryan Palm, Leo Ramsey, Yousef Elkurd, and Max Starvaggi qualified to the regional with a 4th place finish.
The Dogs will return to Bedford Saturday for the district finals.
