OHSAA Meeting Information – February 18th

The meeting tonight featured a great deal of information.  Currently, student-athletes should be members of our google classroom for Track & Field.  This is a necessary step in receiving information regarding the upcoming season.

The google classroom includes access to the presentation that will be shared on March 7th at our first practice.  This site also includes a digital copy of our schedule, our TEAM rules, as well as digital forms of the EMF and physical forms.  There is also an ‘official’ team signup opportunity that includes information important to meeting the needs of our student athletes.

Please email Coach Howard (jhoward@woodridge.k12.oh.us) if I can help you with anything related to the track and field program.  We are excited about the spring season and the potential it presents!

2016 Woodridge High School Track & Field – February 11th

The 2016 Track & Field season will begin on March 7th.  All student-athletes are reminded to ensure they are academically eligible and have a sports physical on file in the high school office.  Student-athletes should email Coach Howard (jhoward@woodridge.k12.oh.us) to get further information on the upcoming season.

The 2015 spring was a great one.  The girls and boys grabbed Portage Trail Conference County Division Championships.  The women went on to grab a coveted Northeast Ohio District Championship.  The girls lost a great deal to graduation as the class of 2015 was exceptional.  Depth and quality should be the standard in all event areas as a number of Regional and State qualifiers return.

The indoor season has already seen outstanding performances by senior Aamirah Howard and a small crew of distance runners competing.  The 3200 relay team of Natalie Fleming, Nicole Fleming, Katie Kearns, and Sarah Frederick are currently on pace to join Aamirah at the OATCCC State Track & Field Indoor Championships on March 5th.
