The main goals of Strength and Conditioning at Woodridge High School are:
- To prevent injury on and off the field
- Improve sports performance through combination of the weight room and speed/agility drills
- Promote life long fitness.
Every sport has a weight lifting program designed for the athletes’ needs. All programs can be adjusted to the skill level/strength of the athletes. There is open communication between the coaching staff, the athletic training staff, and the strength and conditioning staff.
The programs are led by Mark Lowery who is a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Exercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mark has been at Woodridge High School for the past 3 years.
