The bulldogs withstood an up tempo possession filled Norton team with solid defense giving little opportunity for Norton to have a promising shot on goal. Woodridge’s back line of Junior Emily Austin, Junior Rachel Pung, Senior Julia Mullins and Freshmen Maddie Karlo along with great defensive help from the midfield gave Senior Abby Kozma another clean sheet, tallying her 8th shutout of the season.

The star of the night was Katie Austin who tallied two goals in each half. The first goal came about 20 minutes into the match with a clear ball out to junior Rachel Pung who played long ball toward the back post where Katie Austin finished off the play to give the bulldogs the lead. In the second half Katie’s beat Norton’s outside defender down the touch line where she was able to go straight to goal. Cool, calm and collected she put the ball passed the keeper to secure the 10th victory of the season for the lady bulldogs. Great job ladies!
Up next the Lady bulldogs will be hosting the Fighting Irish from STVSTM at 7pm
