Woodridge High School
Tonight’s contest between two teams boasting a 6-1 record has post-season implications.
Woodridge didn’t waste time showing Coventry that they have bigger plans, and dispatched them with force.

Woodridge and Coventry are both 6-1. This game has all sorts of post-season implications.
Woodridge drives down the field and scores with 9:17 left on a 38 yard pass play from Lydic to Arnett.
Woodridge almost gives Coventry a safety in 2 consecutive plays, they punt and Woodridge takes over at the 42.
On the first play of the drive, Lydic finds Snyder with nobody in the same zip code on a bench/curl for a TD!
Coventry answers on their first play from scrimmage with a 69 yard TD pass.
The quarter ends, Woodridge up 13-7.
The second quarter is full of a great fight between these two fine teams. Woodridge breaks the silence first with a 12 yard TD run by Singletary with 7:51 left in the half, after being set up by an incredible run after the catch by Arnett.
Arnett blocks a Coventry punt giving Woodridge the ball deep in Coventry territory. Sanders pushes for a 12 yard run, followed by a 20 yard TD run by Singletary. Woodridge up 27-7 with 2:46 left in the half.
Woodridge shuts Coventry down to start the second half. Snyder makes an incredible punt return, and a penalty give Woodridge the ball at the Coventry 25. Woodridge works their way down the short field and Singletary finishes it off with a 9 yd TD. Woodridge is up 34-7 with 7:33 to go in the 3rd quarter.
Lydic hits Snyder for a 42 yard pass play, and then takes the ball 29 yards himself on the very next play for a TD.
With the continuous clock running, Coventry finds their way to the end zone with 8:36 in regulation. Woodridge remains up 41-13.
With 1:47 left, Sanders picks off a Coventry pass at the 4 and returns it to the 42. Little enough time to kneel the game out.
