In an effort to showcase the tremendous student athletes we have in our Woodridge community, we have continued our “Student Athlete of the Week” program which highlights one outstanding student athlete from each of our High School Varsity programs throughout the school year. The program is made possible through a partnership with Suzanne Upton Photography.
This week’s Student Athlete is Brayden Wigal.
Brayden is a 4 year letter winner for the Bulldog Softball program. Brayden was also a big part of the Woodridge Volleyball programs successful season this past fall. Brayden currently leads the softball team in many major categories including batting average and home runs (11). Brayden’s 11 home runs are a Woodridge High School record! Head Softball Coach Dan Schneider says of Brayden: “Brayden has been a tremendous teammate during her time here with Woodridge Softball. She is certainly talented on the field, but her leadership skills among her fellow students is where she really sets herself apart. We are going to miss her athletic ability when she graduates, but we will miss her as a person even more.” Congratulations Brayden, and good luck to the Woodridge Softball team for the rest of the season!
