In an effort to showcase the tremendous student athletes we have in our Woodridge community, we have continued our “Student Athlete of the Week” program which highlights one outstanding student athlete from each of our High School Varsity programs throughout the school year. The program is made possible through a partnership with Suzanne Upton Photography.
This week’s Student Athlete is Jarrett Martin.
Jarrett is a 4 year member of the baseball program and has also been a member of the Woodridge Football program during his time at Woodridge High School. Head Baseball Coach Dennis Dever says of Jarrett: “Jarrett is a tireless worker, constantly working on improving his baseball skills year round. Additionally, he has worked just as hard at improving his strength in the weight room. Jarrett is also a young man of great morals, ethics, and values, constantly making good choices for himself and his teammates. Jarrett is definitely the leader of our pitching staff, currently leading our team in innings pitched, strikeouts, and earned run average. We will definitely miss Jarrett as both a player and a person when he continues his academic and athletic careers at Ashland University.” Congratulations Jarrett and congratulations to the Woodridge Baseball team on another successful season! Go Bulldogs!
