Woodridge Athletic HealthCare Mission Statement:
“It is the mission of the athletic training staff of Woodridge High School to provide a safe environment and protect the health and well-being of all students participating in interscholastic athletic activities under contracted services with Akron Children’s Hospital. It is of the utmost importance that all individuals involved with students participating in interscholastic athletic activities realize that the health and safety of all student-athletes is the highest priority and should never be compromised. The Athletic Training staff of Akron Children’s Hospital will develop, establish, and implement procedures for the prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of athletic –related injuries and illnesses specific to the secondary school-aged individual. The medical decisions that are made will be based on what is appropriate and safest for each individual athlete, and will occur in accordance with the laws and rules set forth by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainer’s Board regulating the practice of Athletic Training.”
