The Lady Bulldogs opened up their post season play at home against the visiting Northwest Indians. The bulldogs controlled much of the game with great ball possession and movement. Nearly 4 minutes into the 2nd half the bulldogs were able to break through the tough defense of Northwest off of a corner with a little sister connection. Katie Austin played corner into her older sister Emily who was able to put a low shot past the goal keeper to put the bulldogs up 1-0. The lady bulldogs held strong through the end of the second half. The bulldogs will host visiting Revere on Monday October 23rd. Great job ladies!

Game Recap

The Bulldogs hosted Streetsboro in the Sectional Semifinal game Tuesday night and walked away with an 8-0 victory. Woodridge was in control of the game from the start but didn’t find the net until 22 minutes left in the first half when senior Zach Kumar followed up a save by Streetsboro’s Andrew Sway. The Bulldogs scored two more in the last 6 minutes of the first half and exploded for 4 more in the first 20 minutes of the second half. The win means that the boys will travel to Aurora for a Sectional Final game at 3pm. Aurora has been receiving votes in the state rankings so the Dogs will have to bring their A game, but it is something they have worked all season for the opportunity to do.
