The boys varsity bowling team traveled to Stonehedge for the Tri – County Sectional Tournament on Sunday. Twelve teams were battling for the top three spots that would advance them to the district tournament next weekend. The Bulldogs got off to a fast start leaving the second place team 151 pins behind them after scoring a 925 the first game. The team continued to push away from the field scoring a 912 their second game and a tournament high 933 the third game. The Bulldogs had a strong 288 pin lead going into baker games. The Bulldogs were the only team to break 900 in the three individual ten pin games on a difficult oil pattern.
The team scored a 1,064 during the six baker games (192, 193, 122, 165, 186 & 206). The baker game scores helped the team win the tournament in a dominant fashion.
Scoring for the team was led by Bryce Oliver with a 594 three game series (181, 215 & 198). Also scoring was Angelo Biondo with a 544 series (196, 187 & 161), Sam Bergdorf had a 568 series (186, 181 & 201), Kyle Schneider had a 521 series (194, 162 & 165). Connor Jewell had a 208 game and Chad Schoolcraft added a 168 game. There was one substitution score of 167 that rounded out the scoring.
