The Woodridge boys cross country team knocked off a number of state-ranked programs as they finished third at Centerville’s Saturday Night Lights event. The boys competed in the championship race, a second varsity race, and a couple open events. Nearly every athlete ran season and/or lifetime bests under the lights.
Micah Blair grabbed led all Woodridge runners with a 14th place finish in the elite championship event with his first sub-16 effort. Ryan Champa, Riley Galehouse, Zayd Elkurd, Sam Dutt, Ryan Kiley, and Nedal Elkurd all broke the 17-minute barrier for the first times in their careers.
Brayden White won the open event and joined Aaron Dutt, Conrad Haas, Andrew Shaheen, Jeremy Hutchins, Brian Fitzsimmons, Balin Soful, Hayden Reaman, Victor Torres, and Augustus Nightenbach with monster improvements from the 2017 event.
