The Woodridge boys track and field team successfully defended their PTC title Friday at Crestwood. Christian Malone got the day started with a 2nd place finish in the jump. Angelo Regec grabbed 8th place in the discus. On the track, Micah Blair led the way with 2two 1st place finishes. Blair won the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Marvin Montgomery grabbed the dogs other 1st place finish in the 400 meters. Both also earned 1st team all conference with the wins. Jaylin Clark took 2nd in the 110 hurdles with Christian Malone grabbing 7th. The 3200 meter relay team of Dijon White, Carson Lehrer, DeAndre Smith, and Zach Conroy finished 2nd. Conroy also took 3rd in the 400. DeAndre Smith grabbed 4th in both the 100 and 200. While Lehrer ran to a 5th place finish in the 200. Jack Willett was 4th in the 1600 and Noah Perrin returned from illness to take 2nd in the 3200. Kevin Dickon and Ryan Kiley went 4th and 5th in the 800 meters. Smith and Lehrer were joined by Amir Abdullah-Thomas and Dayshawn Garr to take 4th in the 400 relay. Montgomery, Conroy, and Kiley, were joined by Elliott DeFrange to close out the scoring with a 4th place finish in the 1600 relay.
The Dogs will Travel to the Bedford District meet this week to begin the state tournament.
