The Woodridge Boys Track and Field Team traveled to Perry Ohio to compete in the Perry Gene Kobus Relays. The Dogs battled the cold and wind, placing 2nd overall to host Perry. Josh Mally and Zach Conroy combined for the Dog’s first 1st place finish of the day in the high jump. Rich Fisher and Andrew Gilles took 3rd in the shot put. Berkley Upton and Ben Lahoski continued the Dog’s strong day in the field, each recording personal bests in the long jump. On the track, the distance crew led the way with three 1st place efforts. Noah Perrin, Micah Blair, and Sam Dutt each ran on 2 winning relays. Ryan Kiley, Riley Galehouse, Kevin Dickon, Jack Willett, Leo Ramsey, and Andy Muha also were a part of 1st place finishes. The weight-man relay team of Rich Fisher, Jacob Samerdak, Henry Leffler-Beutel, and Angelo Regec grabbed the Dog’s final 1st place finish. The shuttle hurdle team of Mally, Nic Tafini, Evan Wagner, and Reese Mercer placed 2nd. Aaron Richardson, Montrell Jamison, Deandre Smith, Amir Abdullah-Thomas were also a part of 2nd place finishes for the Dogs.
The Dogs will be home Tuesday to take on Field and Springfield At the Mercer Family Track.
