The Woodridge boy’s Track and Field team’s quest for a a 3rd consecutive district championship came up a little short with 3rd place finish at the Bedford district meet on Saturday. The top 4 places in each event qualified to move on to the Austintown Regional this weekend. Micah Blair (1600 meters), Jaylin Clark (110 hurdles), Marvin Montgomery (400 meters), and Noah Perrin (3200 meters) all won district titles. Blair and Perrin also ran on the 4th place 3200 meter relay team with Leo Ramsey and Kevin Dickon. Blair also grabbed a 4th place finish in the 3200 meters to qualify in 3 events to the regional. Marvin Montgomery was joined by Dijon White, Zach Conroy, and DeAndre Smith for a 3rd place finish in the 1600 meter relay. Rich Fisher rounded out the regional qualifiers for the Dogs with a 4th place finish in the shot put. Christian Malone and Berkeley Upton just missed a trip to regionals with 5th place finishes in the 110 hurdles and long jump respectively. The 400 meter relay team of Amir Abdullah-Thomas, Carson Lehrer, Dijon White, and DeAndre Smith also grabbed 5th. Lehrer, Shite, Smith, and Zach Conroy took 6th in the 800 meter relay. Josh Mally was 6th in the 300 hurdles and high jump. Ryan Kiley was 7th in the 800 meters. Reece Mercer closed out the socring with an 8th place finish in the pole vault.
