The Bulldog girls track program took their first steps to earning another conference championship at the Mercer Track & Field Facility last night. In their first Metro Athletic Conference meet, the girls knocked off Springfield and a very talented Field High School group.

In the field events, Catie Meehan and Emma Stekelenburg grabbed the top two spots in the high jump. Chloe Rado and Delaney Duve finished 2-3 in the long jump while Corinne Betts continued her strong start with a win in the shot put. One of the highlights of the night came in the girls pole vault. Sophia Davis, Kathryn Kiley, and Rachael Serafimov each jumped 8-feet to sweep the event.

On the track, the sprint crew was bolstered by Izzy Best. Izzy won the 100, 200, and 400 meter runs. Fellow All-Ohioan Reese Reaman grabbed wins in the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Sophomore Anna Rorrer ran well to win the 100-meter hurdles and finish runner up in the 300 hurdles.

A number of Bulldogs had outstanding days. In the field events, Briajah Garr-Jackson and Bella Simon had strong performances in the long jump. Among distance runners, Eloise Willett, Leah Ziegler, Leighton Kline, Anastasia Bakuhn, Thalis Johnston, Uriel Bishop, and Avery Dutt all ran well. Aneya Schvartz, Anna Kleinhenz, Megan Woods, Leah Brinson, Rebecca LaGuardia, Leah Mencer, Belle Norris, Maddie Karlo, Sophia Davis, and Alex Treat all competed well.
