The Girl’s Varsity Bowling Team traveled to Stonehedge on Sunday to compete in the Tri-County Sectional Tournament. Fifteen teams from Summit, Stark and Portage Counties were bowling for one of the top four spots in order to advance to the District Tournament.

Abby Bergdorf led the team with a 518 series (181, 170 & 167). Other scorers included Breauna Neal with a 492 series (138, 163 & 191) and Kara Laughman with a 430 series (159, 138 & 133). Kathleen Cserhati scored a 141 and 125. Mckenzie Nye had a 100 game and Leah Schoolcraft added a 107.

During the three team games the team scored a 719, 719 and 680. In the six team baker games, the team had a 792 series (119, 124, 145, 148, 122 and 134).

Congratulations to Abby Bergdorf who had the highest series for the girls from non-qualifying teams and Breauna Neal for the second highest series for girls from non-qualifying teams. Both Abby and Breauna will compete as individuals in the OHSAA District Tournament at Nautica Lanes in Avon next Monday at noon.
