The Woodridge girls cross country team wrapped up their time in the Portage Trail Conference with their 14th league championship in the 15 year history of the conference.
Libby Howard ran an outstanding race to grab PTC Runner of the Year honors and win the race. She paced the Bulldog varsity with seven of the top 10 finishers in the race. Anastasia Bakuhn, Izzy Best, and Elise Carey all had top 5 finishes. Leighton Kline joined these four girls on with first-team all conference honors with her 7th place finish.
Joy McFarland, Leah Ziegler, Anna Wojcik, and Leah Stanfield each grabbed second team honors as they each finished in the top 14 of the race.
Many of the Bulldogs likely ended their seasons with great performances at the Portage County Fairgrounds. Evelyn Willett, Kathryn Kiley, Allison Palm, Katie Meehan, Chloe Rado, Tori Tennant, Betty Sterling, Makayla Foley, Mya Harding, Anna Cook, Avery Dutt, and Mia Harding all ran exceptional races!
The girls will begin their quest for a 15th consecutive state berth next weekend at the District Tournament in Lorain.
