The bulldogs traveled to STVSTM to take on the Irish on their Senior night. The bulldogs found themselves in a back and forth battle and a tale of two different halves. The Irish pressured the bulldogs back line forcing shots on goal (6) altogether in the opening half. STV. landed the first blow just over 20 minutes into the first half off of a corner kick. STv’s lead would stand through the remaining minutes in the first half.
Even though the bulldogs were down by 1 the team began the 2nd half with confidence and began playing their brand of soccer giving the Irish a dose of their own medicine. By applying pressure to the Irish defense playing the ball wide creating space to go at the Irish back line. The pressure applied kept the Irish off the board and with out a shot on goal. The bulldogs were able to capitalize on costly Irish mistake with goals from Senior Emily Austin (3rd of the season) and Senior Megan Anderson pk (15th of the season). This is the 2nd of 5 games in 8 days for the Bulldogs. Up next the bulldogs will travel to Nordonia on Saturday morning for a 9AM kickoff. Monday Oct 8th will be Senior night and Tuesday Oct 9th the bulldogs will travel to Akron Springfield for their final game of the regular season.
