The Woodridge girls’ track and field program took their first steps toward winning another PTC championship on Tuesday night at the Mercer track. The girls beat Norton 104-23 and handled the speedy Ravens 99-28. The wins moved the squad to 2-0 in PTC action.
The throwers had a great day as Eleanor Sterling, Cher Strain, Sydney Rhone, and Bella Chirakos all performed well in the shot and discus. In addition, Delaney Duve and Emma Stekelenburg led our jumps squad.
On the track, the Bulldogs won 10 of the 12 running events. Erin Eby hurdled to victory in both hurdle races. Izzy Best won the 200 while Libby Howard and Anastasia Bakuhn earned wins in the distance races.
The girls will join the boys at the Kenston Relays on Friday night.
